I contacted West Houston Electric because my outdoor lighting was not working. If you know, you know. It is extremely dark at night. For safety reasons, I like my home lit up. My tech was Rolan Bowes. He was prompt, courteous, professional, and communicated well what was going on with our lights and how he could fix it. Rolan fixed the problem, and now our lights are working. I will definitely use this company again for any of our electrical issues.

Christian was a delight to have work around our home. He was very professional and very educated in all things electrical. He pointed out several items that needed attention upon review. We had a fried GFCI plug in our garage from one of the recent storms is the reason we had him out. While here Christian identified that our pool pump was not GFCI protected. Also pointed out things we could do to prevent further damage as we get allot of storms here. We had Christian replace the copper grounding rod, change out a cracked plug and cover on our back patio, we also had him install an entire home surge protector. We also signed up for the VIP program which ensures WHE comes out next year for another safety review. Overall my husband and I are super pleased at the work Christian provided for us. We feel much safer in our home after his safety check and the work that was done.

Roland and Jerald were awesome! They took care of all our needs to bring our 1965 home up to code—GFIs, breakers, wires, extension poles, etc. They worked hard all day to get the job done in one visit. They took care of us by bringing in a generator so I could still have internet and make my Zoom meeting. They were super nice, quiet, and cleaned up the work sites. A joy to have in our home. In late April, West Houston Electric completed the installation of a new master electrical panel for my home in Katy. There were some complexities in the job such as integration of my existing generator and automatic transfer switch. There were a few minor surprises during installation but to their credit they held to their estimate. Note that West Houston’s estimate was less than Mr. Sparky for this scope. Earlier this year West Houston added 1 new 220V and 1 new 110V outlets so that I could simultaneously charge 2 plug in hybrid vehicles. This job was also well done. Both jobs were completed by their Service Technician Joseph, who was easy to work with and gave clear answers to all of my questions. I would definitely use West Houston, and Josep, for future work.

At first I thought Christian was just trying to build a sale when he asked if he could inspect our electrical system. I am so glad we had the inspection because he corrected some damaged neutral wires that could have caused a fire. He also replaced some out of code outlets. I really recommend this if you have an older home. He also installed the Tesla charger which is a great help. I feel very secure with the work he has done.
